From a shared dream to a nurse-led skin clinic in Cork and Dublin
The FILO Clinic was founded in July 2022 by Ryan and Christina Lumor — registered general nurses, and a married couple from the Philippines.
The journey to Ireland
After completing their nursing degrees together in 2008, Ryan worked as a research assistant in rhinoplasty, while Christina built her career as an aesthetic laser nurse in Kuwait. Before that, both spent years nursing in rural areas of the Philippines — an experience that gave them a deep sense of care and compassion. Ryan moved to Ireland in 2016 to work as a general nurse, with Christina joining in 2018 and their son in 2020.
Like many who build a new life in a new country, they started small — selling beauty products from the Philippines to the local Filipino community. But they soon realised that creams and serums could only go so far; many skin concerns need advanced, in-clinic treatments backed by medical knowledge and technology. Step by step, they began investing in world-class devices — the kind usually seen only in London, Dubai, or New York. By 2022, The FILO Clinic had opened its doors in Cork, expanding to Dublin the following year.
